Our Trustees


Noel Jhinku

Noel has an academic background in the biomedical and marine sciences. Noel is passionate about the marine environment and founded the OSOF initiative. Noel can be found exploring the coastline in his spare time, and is currently based in Dunedin.


Rebecca Bird

Rebecca is a founding trustee, and has an academic background in marine science, zoology and psychology coupled with a professional career in marine conservation. Rebecca is an experienced campaigner and conservation advocate, and resides on Wellington’s spectacular South Coast.


Will Tait-Jamieson

Will is a founding trustee, and has an academic background in zoology and psychology. Will is passionate about environmental psychology – the science of how we behave and interact with our environment. Will is also an avid spear-fisher and SCUBA diver, and is currently based in Wellington.


Carole French

Carole’s academic background is in psychology and education. As a fundraising professional of more than 20 years, she has worked with many of New Zealand’s most respected charities, supporting causes from children’s health to conservation. Carole is based in Auckland where she enjoys sailing and sea-kayaking.


Trustee – Is this you?

As part of the OSOF Trust Board, you will assist in the strategic development of the OSOF Charitable Trust, ensuring services offered are compatible with the mission and objectives of the organisation, and that these are responsive and relevant to the needs of the wider community.
